How to say the days of the week in French?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In French, the days of the week are named after the corresponding planets in the solar system. Here is a list of the French days of the week with their English translations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    but you say<\/strong>: \u00ab\u00a0Lundi<\/em><\/strong>, je suis all\u00e9 au cin\u00e9ma<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb (Monday, I went to the movies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you use an article in front of the day of the week in French, it is to indicate a habit<\/strong>, to say that every Monday or every Thursday, etc., you do something special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Example<\/span>: \u00ab\u00a0Le lundi je vais \u00e0 la plage\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. (On Monday I go to the beach).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      And to indicate the days, you will use the cardinal numbers<\/strong> (2, 3, 7, 18, 30) except – and yes, there is often an \u00ab\u00a0except\u00a0\u00bb in French – for the first day of the month.
