Why is pedagogy important?

Learning French is difficult. Yes, it is! There are many different conjugations to master, a lot of grammar rules with many exceptions, French phonetics has its peculiarities (i.e. the nasal sounds: in, an, on, un... 😭) and the spelling of a word does not always correspond to its pronunciation...

In addition, learning a foreign language is tricky, we are often afraid to speak, because we are afraid of making mistakes and afraid of being ridiculous.

This the bad news. The good news is that we are here to help you! 😊

That's why pedagogy is extremely important! That's why the role of the teacher is there to make the student feel good, to feel confident, to speak without being afraid.

We always correct the students when they make mistakes, but we always do it in a benevolent, positive way, by valuing all that they already know. In our lessons, we use real life situations, playful activities and language games, so that our students will learn while having fun, almost without realizing it.

And then, we always work on the 4 French skills: speaking and writing, oral and written comprehension. Mastering grammar rules and being able to do exercises is very good. But what is even better is being able to communicate with French native speakers, to engage in discussions, to watch a movie, to listen to a song or to pass a French exam!
